  • Credit/tag back to Ell’s blog and tag the blogger who tagged you
  • Tag 5 others by linking to their blogs

Fall Questions

1. What is one candle you MUST light every fall?

Apple pumpkin is my absolute favorite!!!

2. When you think of fall, what does it remind you of?

Spooky things, leaves, crisp air and horror movies

3. What is your all-time favorite fall/Halloween movie?

I am a horror movie fanatic so this is a really hard question. If we are talking classics, then Halloween is my favorite. If we are talking more current, then it would have to be the conjuring. If we are talking just down right make you uncomfortable and creep you the hell out, then Sinister would be it. I told you, it’s really hard to pick.

4. What Halloween costume do you have in mind?
Well, my step daughter wants me to be a fairy, but I was thinking either a mermaid or a sexy zombie (is that even a costume? I’ll make one! Haha)

5. What is your favorite fall trend?
Once again, I have so many. Like literally so many. These fall tags are one of them.

6. When you think of fall, what drink comes to mind?

Wine. I don’t like any hot drinks. I will drink cold drinks all year around.

7. What is your go to fall beauty product? A must have staple!

Probably my gold, brown and dark reds eye shadow pallet. OH and chap stick.

8. Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?

Apple all the way. I am not a pumpkin lover at all. However, I do like the smell of a pumpkin candle and the taste of pumpkin bread, but that’s it.

9. Do you have any fall traditions? If so tell us all about it!
Once again, I have many. Watching movie marathons: Halloween, Scream, Nightmare on elm street, Harry Potter, Friday the 13th, Paranormal activity.
I also go to a pumpkin patch every year and try to do as many Halloween activities as I can. I also decorate every year like a crazy person, for fall/Halloween.

10. The moment of truth, is fall your favorite season?

Fall is my most absolute favorite season ever. In my opinion, it should be Fall all year around. Summer is too hot, winter is too cold, and spring is allergy season.

Who I nominate:

I am not tagging anyone because I want to leave this open to whoever wants to do it. 🙂 Happy Fall everyone

The Halloween Tag

Untitled design (15)

I’m back with another Tag Post. This time, it’s about my most favorite fall time thing… Halloween!  I also got this tag from Coffee Mamma. (Go check out her blog!) She got it from Anna Vs Life who she believed created it! Here goes.

michael-myersWhat is your favorite horror Movie?

I love so many horror movies, but my all time favorite movie is the classic Halloween series. I don’t really care for the Rob Zombie version though. We know the classics are always better.

If you were in a horror movie, how far do you think you’d get?

Honestly, I think I’d get pretty far, because I know not to go to the room that the eerie noises are coming from, I know no to touch or play with a demonic or haunted item and I know how to run without tripping over my own feet or nothing. Haha.

Favorite scary video game?

I don’t play video games anymore.

Favorite scary story?

I learned about this story in Spanish class in high school and it’s the only story that really freaked me out, so I love it. La Llorona (The weeping woman). Google it, it’s creepy.

the_scary_door_tnWhat’s one unusual thing you are afraid of?

I’m afraid of the bathroom door and the closet doors being open when I go to bed.  Have been ever since I was a kid. I have to make sure they are shut before I go to sleep.

What was your first memory of Halloween?

I don’t know what my first memory was, but I remember that my favorite costume was a witch when I was a kid. I was one every year that I can remember until I was about 12 years old I think.

Best Halloween costume you ever had?

Probably my zombie one I made a few years back. That one was pretty cool!

Worst Halloween costume you’ve ever had?

I don’t have a bad Halloween costume.

Which is scarier?

Vampire or werewolves?
I would say vampires, though I’d like to be one.

Ghost’s or Zombies?
Ghost’s are scarier. You can’t always see them and that to me, is the scariest.

Creepy dolls or creepy clowns?
Clowns! I hate clowns! Specifically, Stephen King’s, Pennywise. Have ever since I was a kid. I use to have  nightmares for months at a time over this clown. Still to this day, I will not watch this movie ever again.

Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Meyers or Leatherface?

Michael Meyers for sure. He never runs, but always seems to catch up and find the person he is chasing and the freaking guy never dies!

Again, I’m suppose to nominate someone to do this, but I’m just going to leave it open to whomever wants to.

Story Time:

When I was about 7 years old, my older brother told me to watch a movie that he was watching and the movie was, Stephen King’s, IT. Well, it scared the shit out of me that I literally had horrible nightmares for months to the point where I was waking up every night sweating. It was terrible. Ever since then, I can’t watch the movie and yes, that means that I’ve never seen the remake. No thank you. I love Halloween and everything creepy, so everyone is shocked to learn that I am terrified of that movie.

Fall Tag Post

I’m going to jump on the Tag Post train and the Fall tag post that I got from Coffee Mamma‘s blog. Rachel is the amazing Author of Coffee Mamma and I just love her blog. She’s a Mom blogger that we can all relate to. Please go check out her blog!

What is one candle you must light every fall?

I love most candles, so this is a tough one. I would say either Pumpkin spice or caramel apple.

When you think of fall, it reminds you of what?

It reminds me of Halloween, crisp cool air, hoodies and cuddling on the couch under a big warm blanket watching Harry Potter.

What is your favorite Halloween/Fall time movie?

My all time favorite fall time movie is Hocus Pocus! I watch it every single year and have ever since I can remember.

What Halloween costume do you have in mind?

Sadly, I have no clue. I have some ideas for my daughter’s costume, but not mine. When in doubt and can’t find a costume, I am always a vampire. Vampire teeth are cheap and easy and I have tons of makes up. Lol

What is your favorite fall trend?

My favorite fall trend is leggings and boots. I have already been wearing them since mid September. Oh, and scarves. I love scarves!!

When you think of fall, what drink comes to mind?

Um, normally someone would say hot chocolate or apple cider or something warm, but I don’t like either of those or anything warm in fact. I like everything I drink, cold.

What is your go-to fall time beauty product? An absolute must have!

Chap stick. Evert fall time, my lips dry out and crack because of the cold air. I always have chap stick with me at all times.

Do you prefer apple or pumpkin spice?

This really depends. I like caramel apples, but not apple cider and I like pumpkin bread, but not pumpkin spice drinks or pumpkin pie.

Do you have any fall time traditions?

The only thing I can think of that I do every fall season, is watch Harry Potter. I have a marathon every year.

The moment of truth, is fall your favorite season?

Yes, yes, yes, a million times, yes. I dread the summer and spring time. I love everything about fall time. The colors, the smell, the cool air and the fact that Halloween is in the fall! Mostly because my allergies aren’t as terrible during this time a year.

I am supposed to nominate another blogger to do this tag post, but I want to keep it open for anyone to do this! Thank you for reading!

Fall time is upon us!

Happy Fall, Y'all!

Yes, I am jumping on that wagon of everyone expressing how much they love fall and yes, I purposely made the title rhyme because I felt it needed that extra umpth! I feel like cat in the hat. In all seriousness now, fall is actually my all time favorite season. I love absolutely everything about it. Literally, EVERYTHING. As soon as the winter hits, I count down the days until it’s fall again. Spring is my horrible allergy season, Summer in Las Vegas is just hot and miserable, and winter is just not my thing… it doesn’t snow in Las Vegas so I would highly call it winter. Anyways…

  • The colors of literally everything outside.
  • Cool crisp air.
  • Not hot and not cold. Just right.

The decor

  • Wreaths
  • Scarecrows
  • pumpkins
  • candles
  • table cloths
  • center piece

This is probably one of my most favorite parts.

  • Boots
  • Fuzzy socks
  • Hoodies
  • Scarves.
  • Leggings

I actually have a scarf collection and it gets bigger every fall. My leggings collections is getting pretty good too!

  • Pumpkin patch
  • Fall carnivals
  • Apple picking
  • Haunted house
  • Thanksgiving cooking

Fun Fact_

This has to be the BEST part of any season and holiday. Here are just some of my favorites.

  • Caramel Apples
  • Hot fudge turtle brownies
  • Pumpkin cheesecake cookies
  • Hot apple pie

Nothing like cuddling under a warm blanket on the couch, watching your favorite fall time favorites.

  • Hocus Pocus
  • Halloweentown (Yes, that’s a Disney movie… Don’t judge me.)
  • The Addams Family
  • Halloween Series
  • Goonies
  • Casper
  • Last, but not least, the Macy’s day parade. It’s been a tradition of mine and my family to watch this every year on Thanksgiving morning. I’ve been doing it since I was little.

If only it would stay fall time all year around… *Sigh*

5 Ideas to try out this Fall

Fall is here and in the air, well not for us Vegans. It’s still mildly hot but soon jean jacket weather and ugg’s will be upon us as soon as we can blink. There are a bunch of fun things and activities you can do this fall with and without your kids. I’ve only come up with a list of five but I’m sure you can find more near you!

#1 Pumpkin Patches

Typical I know but it’s a fun event to visit while with the littles. When visiting you can pick out pumpkins, go on rides, feed the animals, and some even have hay rides or horse riding!

I will advise this fall when done with the pumpkin patch to check the kids, cloths, and pets for ticks. There has been reports at different patches all over of people getting bit and not checking. So be safe but don’t let that scare you from having some fun.

#2 Trunk or Treats

Every school and church I know has this. Trunk or Treats are a fun way to get out of the house pre Halloween with the kids and let them ware their costumes, supporting the community, and having fun with the activities they have their. Seeing all the different themes to the trunks are a plus too!

My favorite theme by far was a car done by my friend in a skeleton theme! It was the best trunk that year!

# Throw a Costume Party

ADULT ONLY costume/Halloween party is the perfect pass time and fun way to socialize. Adults like to have fun on this holiday too so why not host a party! Have fun games, costume contest, and spiked punch!

Decorate and have a monster of a time with friends, family, or even co workers!

#4 Paint/Carve Pumpkin

Carving Pumpkins together is a fun family activity that everyone can enjoy. Picking out different kinds of pumpkins and outlines! There are so many ways to run wild with pumpkins this year.

However in my house we paint pumpkins, I love seeing their artistic side come to life. They have painted bats to mummy’s. It has been come an arts and crafts project.

#5 Thankful Jar

Getting ready for Thanksgiving is easy, Why not make a thankful jar. Everyday of fall write on a small paper what your thankful for, have the kids write some too! Then on thanksgiving or you can even go up untill Christmas, read all the cute things you are thankful for through the month(s).

So there ya have it folks! What are somethings you are going to try out this fall?

Halloween Decor must haves

Since it’s fall time (Well, it’ll officially be fall on the 23rd of this month, but it’ll still be 100 degrees here in Las Vegas, unfortunately), I thought I’d do a fall related post. Since fall is my favorite season for the biggest reason being that Halloween is in the fall and y’all know that Halloween is my Christmas. I have crazy decorated for Halloween ever since I can remember. The older I got, the crazier my decorating got. There were only one year I didn’t decorate and it was last year because my living situation wasn’t ideal, so I didn’t bother. As you can tell, I’m pretty close to an expert Halloween decorator, so I’m going to share my expertise with you. Here are the Must-Have decorations for a true Halloween freak like myself.

20180910_040309_0001These are a definite must! I didn’t use them for tables though, because they’re really thin and my kid would of ripped them off in 2 seconds. Instead I put it on the wall and it made it look like a bloody crime scene in my living room. I actually had gotten this at the Dollar Store one year. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find them there for the last 2 years, but they are online on various sites.

20180910_042915_0001You aren’t decorating right if you don’t have cobwebs. I go super crazy with cobwebs and literally put them everywhere! Kitchen, living room, and even in the bathroom. Halloween experience even when you’re on the toilet.

20180910_044647_0001If you really want your house to look eerie,  replace your hallway light bulbs with an orange, purple or black one, Hallways are creepy enough as it is… this will make it creepier. *Don’t replace all your light bulbs with these, otherwise you’re whole house will be dark and that wouldn’t be good. You still need to LIVE in your house.

20180910_045449_0001What’s Halloween without a giant spider? A couple of hears ago, I found this huge blow up spider at the Dollar store and I hung that on the ceiling in the middle of the living room. They are perfect with the massive amounts of cobwebs you have up!

20180910_050439_0001Even though your house looks like Spirit Halloween, you still want it to look and feel Homey. Halloween throw pillows and blankets will let everyone know that you still live there and it’s a home, not just a haunted house. You’re best bet would be to get some cheap Halloween fabric and make pillow cases for the pillows you already have.

20180910_051405_0001You definitely need a motion sensor piece. Anything that’ll scare the crap out of your kids when they walk past it. I cannot wait to get this to scare my step daughter. My daughter laughs when she gets scared and then tries to scare everyone else in the house. She’s creepy like her mama.

20180910_052426_0001Chair covers are the cutest thing ever. I got these at the Dollar Store a few years ago. (Yes, I get most, if not all of my Halloween decorations from the dollar store. Every year, the Dollar store carries these. It’s also very easy to make your own out of pillow cases.

20180910_053413_0001You NEED a centerpiece on your table to go with your chairs. This can be anything you want, really. One year, I had a vase full of glittery pumpkins, another year, I had a platter of body parts. All of which you can buy at the Dollar store. (Black roses are an awesome center piece if you like that creepy, yet elegant look.)

20180910_053735_0001Halloween window clings. Bloody handprints are my favorite, of course. You should also get cute fun ones for your kids to play with and rearrange. One year, I got a window cling of a zombie and I had it in my patio window and always scared the crap out of my neighbors. Definitely going to get another one of those!

20180910_061320_0001Halloween dish towels and pot holders are the finishing touch on the kitchen. These are probably my favorite thing to buy. I have an odd obsession with dish towels. If they are new, I won’t let anyone use them. I will use them as decoration. Makes no sense, I know. lol

The number one thing I think everyone should have to really take their décor to the next level is a creepy porcelain doll! Y’all know, Halloween or not, these are the creepiest things ever! My grandma use to have a room full of these!!!

20180910_101512_0001.pngOrange lights! You know, like the Christmas lights but orange to go outside. Nothing says crazy Halloween person like Halloween lights. Since I am living in my first house this year, and not an apartment, I am going to put Halloween lights up.

20180910_092055_0001Last but not least, Halloween tree. Yes, a Christmas tree, but black and decorated with either creepy stuff like body parts and organs, or your favorite Halloween movie, like Nightmare before Christmas or Hocus Pocus. I personally haven’t done this yes, but I’m going to this year. You can just leave it up through the rest of the holidays and decorate it accordingly.

There you have it, 13 must have Halloween decorations. Funny thing is, I actually didn’t plan to share 13 of them… It just kinda worked out  that way. I ran out of ideas after 13. Ironic, right?
